Do yourself a favor and be productive.
Yes, EVERY morning. Get yourself up, sit down with God and a cup of Joe, and then do something you’d rather not do. Pay a bill, exercise, make a grocery list, clean something for crying out loud. But, whatever it is, do it well and get the sucker done.
Cause productivity is contagious. Oh, yes! Contagious. That little task may be infinitesimal in the grand scheme of things. But soon, you’ll start feeling better about yourself and about what you can accomplish. You’ll remember that you really are more than just a jumble of sweatpants and baby slobber. You’ll remember that productivity is a part of your heavenly heritage–that your God spoke to the chaos and created life. That you are part of a people who do things well and in order.
So, you’re saying that if I get out of this computer chair and scrub the kitchen floor I’ll be doing my part? I’ll be changing the world?
No, not really. I didn’t say that. But your kitchen floor should remind you that you’ve got things to do on this planet. Bigger things than cleaning and bills. More important things than playing taxi cab and grocery shopping. I wouldn’t be surprised if your teeny tiny morning accomplishment motivates you to take on something bigger. Something of significance. Something that really would change the world.
So, get up!
Remember who you were created to be.
Life is short. Do something!
Yeah, I totally stole that line from the ONE LIFE REVOLUTION… I don’t think they’ll mind.
